RE:COVER is the follow up to the much talked after Modem Angels project produced in 1999. Modem Angels consisted in a fifteen tracks compilation released to only 242 numbered copies. Most of the tracks were made by the members of the official Front 242 internet mailing list. Most of the fifteen tracks were cover versions of the original 242 tracks covering most of this Belgian band's 20 years of carreer. This item has since its release been very sought after by fans and was sold at skyrocketing prices on auction sites. The original internet mailing list died since then and is now resurrected as a confidential list.

The members of this new list decided to release a second volume of Modem Angels now called Re:Cover. Limited once again to an appropriate number of 242 copies, Re:Cover contains tracks by fourteen international artists from Europe, North and South America. Bands include: HeXaNe, U.D.O., D-fence, Matières et Mémoire, Clonn, Lovedroid, Hyperform, Overflow110, Lightphaser, Toxel, Red PeterC, sm:ms, D'n'F, Oblivion Compound et Pulsedriver. Most of the aspects of this new compilation have been decided democratically by this list and it is really a group effort.
